Accused murderer back in court today

The man accused of killing a Cocke County woman almost three years ago will be in court again today.

Jeffrey Lee Stock was charged with Felony Murder, Rape, Theft of Property over $100, and Arson. His father, Terry Stock, appeared in court on Thursday and is out on $70,000 bond.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) The man accused of killing a Cocke County woman almost three years ago will be in court again today.

Jeffrey Lee stock facing charges of first degree murder, rape, and arson for killing Megan Maxwell.

He should learn today who will defend him.

Maxwell went missing in April 2009 and was last seen leaving her father's home in Newport.

Deputies found her car along Highway 25. Then in November 2010, a man walking his dog found her remains.
