Ala man charged with sexually assaulting child in Tennessee

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested one of Tennessee's most wanted suspects in north Alabama.

Police arrested 24-year-old Anthony Dean Blackwell of Huntsville early Friday on charges of sexually assaulting a 4-month-old baby.

Blackwell is charged with rape. He was being held without bond, and court records don't show whether he has a lawyer.

Blackwell was on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "most wanted" list.

Investigators say the man is accused of sexually assaulting a child he was babysitting in Pulaski, Tenn., on June 9.

The victim underwent surgery to repair injuries suffered in the assault.
