Alcoa officer funeral arrangements

ALCOA, Tenn. (WVLT) - An Alcoa police officer is being remembered after he passed away over the weekend.

Officer Ed Bowman died suddenly of natural causes.

He was known for his work as a K-9 officer, father, and community leader.

The family is receiving friends from 4-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Maryville.

Officer Bowman's funeral is tomorrow and will include a full police procession and military honors.

Court in Alcoa is cancelled today to honor his memory.
