KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Amber Alert issued for 14 year old Taryn Lea Rollins has been cancelled, but now another child faces charges.
The TBI says a 12 year old girl reported seeing Rollins being forcibly taken from her front yard around 8:45 Tuesday night. He described the man who took her as a 30 to 40 year old, bald white male and said he put Rollins into a dark colored, small sedan with tinted windows that was headed for Ridgecrest Avenue.
The 12 year old is now in the custody of the Department of Children's Services. Police took her into custody last night for giving false information. The court is filing a petition against her.
Another person underage who also reported the information could be charged by the Knoxville Police Department too.
Authorities found Rollins early Wednesday morning.
After police issued the AMBER Alert, it got information that Rollins had run away.
The Knoxville Police Department found her and cancelled the alert.
Law enforcement could also ask the kids charged to pay back investigative expenses.
