Vickie, having a carry permit does not mean you can "shoot first and ask questions later." Idiots with that way of thinking are why the rest of the permit holders get a bad name. I hate that your family member was injured. You make a valid point when stating he will walk sooner than later. The part the writer did not make clear was how she wrecked.

I am the sister of one of the victims. My sister got the worse end of the the whole accident. She is in the hospital with multiple injuries. She has undergone surgery for 2 broken hips and she has fractured neck and back. This theif that tried to rob them got off with what appeared to be a broken leg as I watched him being rolled out of the hospital to an awaiting patrol car. I know with our pathetic laws he will again roam our streets with intent on doing this to someone else. We need stiffer laws for theives and drug abusers. I know I will have my permit to carry a weapon and if someone tries to rob me I will shoot first and ask questions later. This world has gone crazy.
