CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- The Woodbridge Group is expanding its automotive supply business in Chattanooga with a new plastic products plant that will be located off Amnicola Highway.
The company has two divisions already operating in Chattanooga and has a manufacturing plant that employs about 160 workers. The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports that the Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics will be setting up their facility in a former carpet warehouse.
John Zianis, vice president of the Woodbridge Group's Formed Plastics Business Unit, said the company has been operating in the city for 25 years and the new facility will improve their automotive positioning in the region.
The company declined to say how many employees would be hired for the new facility. The company will spend $2 million to renovate the warehouse.
