FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) -- Soldiers from Fort Campbell will be donating food items to the installation's YMCA for distribution to other military families.
On Friday morning, each soldier from the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division will donate two food items to the Backdoor Boutique, which is a free store for military families on the post on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line. It offers household and personal items, such as baby clothes and appliances.
The unit is donating canned goods to help other soldiers in need and their families during the holiday season. Following the donation, the battalion will participate in a physical fitness event at the Division Parade Field.
