NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The identity of a body found in the Cumberland River in Nashville might not be known for a while.
An official with the Army Corps of Engineers called police about 8:41 p.m. Tuesday, saying a body had been found near an old ferry landing on the west side of the city. A rescue crew using a boat recovered it about an hour later.
Metro Nashville Police Capt. Chris Taylor told The Tennessean the body appeared to have been in the water for some time.
