KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- The body of Adam Mayes, the man accused of killing Jo Ann Bain and her 14 year old daughter Adrienne, is at the University of Tennessee.
His body has been kept at the state crime lab in Jackson since Mayes' family would not accept the remains.
Bain's two younger daughters were safely recovered after Mayes fatally shot himself when police tracked him down in Union County, Miss., on May 10.
Union County Coroner Mark Golding told us he personally drove the body from Mississppi to Knoxville. He says he dropped Mayes' body off this morning at 8:00am. The body will go to one of its departments.
