JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (AP) -- A judge in Jonesborough has sent a grand jury police charges against the driver of a school bus that crashed.
The court bound over the case against Brenda K. Gray on Tuesday, according to The Greeneville Sun.
A Washington County public school bus being driven by Gray crashed on Sept. 20, seriously injuring eight David Crockett High School students and causing lesser injuries to 31 others.
Gray remains free on bond after being booked on a variety of charges.
Judge Robert Lincoln set a date of Jan. 22 for Gray to return to court.
A public defender was appointed for her when she was arrested a month ago.
