COLLINWOOD, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a city recorder in Middle Tennessee after her indictment on a theft charge.
The TBI said Tuesday that 50-year-old Sherry Gallien of Collinwood was indicted last week by a Wayne County grand jury on a charge of theft of more than $60,000.
Gallien was booked into the Wayne County Jail but had been released on bond by Tuesday, and there was no indication if she had an attorney.
The TBI was called in to investigate after a state audit found about $83,000 in city funds missing.
Gallien has worked for the city for 33 years.
