CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A crew has resumed the search for a construction worker who fell into the Tennessee River in Marion County.
According to WRCB-TV, in Chattanooga, the accident occurred at the Haletown Bridge on Monday when the worker fell about four feet from a barge.
Haletown Fire Chief Mikey Tudors said the man came up once, gasped for air and then disappeared under the water.
A search was called off at midnight and resumed Tuesday morning. Divers were assisting.
The worker's name wasn't immediately released.
