Country fans to send messages to soldiers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Country music fans will be asked next week to sign cards with personal messages that will be forwarded to military members overseas.

Fans attending the CMA Music Festival June 9-12 in Nashville will get a chance to sign the cards, which will be included in a USO care package sent overseas.

Country singer Craig Morgan, who spent 10 years on active duty in the Army, will make a special appearance at the festival June 10 to encourage messages.

The activities are part of the Jack Daniel's "Toast to the Troops" campaign, which began in 2005.
