THP identifies driver killed in I-75 wreck

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol says William Kagin IV died early Wednesday morning on I-75. THP said he wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time and died at the scene.

Three people who were in the car with him were injured. They have been taken to UT Medical Center. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.

The crash happened around 2:00 a.m. along I-75 North around mile marker 134, near the Caryville, Jacksboro, LaFollette exit. Officials believe the semi rear-ended the car. For much of the early morning hours, it closed a northbound and southbound lane.
