Death of Chattanooga woman, 75, ruled homicide

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- The Hamilton County coroner has ruled the death of a Chattanooga woman was a homicide.

The body of 75-year-old Joanne Desha was found on the floor of her home about 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported no cause of death has been released by authorities, but the Chattanooga Police Department said a homicide investigation is under way.
