JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- A medical student at East Tennessee State University is now a published poet.

"The First Cut," a poem by third-year med student Jocelyn Wilson of Oak Ridge, has been published in the 12th edition of The Legible Script, a literary journal for medical students.

Her work was inspired by gross anatomy class. Her poem is a tribute to those who choose to donate their bodies to medical science.

The journal is published by the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
