Caution: Grainger county sheriff warns of email hoax

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Grainger County Sheriff says a very authentic-looking scam is circulating via email. FBI verifies it as a hoax.

Take a look at the attached document. This letter looks like the email being sent out.

Remember, officials say if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

One big red flag that this is a hoax (without requiring the FBI) is the fact that the 'Draw Date' doesn't even exist. December 12th 2011 was a Monday, not a Saturday.
