MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The U.S. Marshals Service says a convicted drug dealer who escaped from a federal prison camp in Millington has been captured in Kentucky.
U.S. marshals spokesman Seth Bruce says that Travis Ware was arrested in Lexington, Ky., and is awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
Bruce said Ware had been on the run since escaping the prison camp on March 10. A fugitive task force located and arrested Ware on Tuesday morning.
Ware has seven years to serve on his original sentence of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He will face an additional charge for escape.
