Family of Fort Knox soldier reports him missing

FORT KNOX, Ky. (AP) -- The family of a Fort Knox soldier last seen visiting his parents on Thursday in Sarasota, Fla., has reported him missing.

The Manatee County sheriff's office in Bradenton, Fla., says Pfc. Daniel Dezinno left his parent's home to return to the central Kentucky military post but hasn't reported or been heard from since.

Relatives say they contacted the Florida Highway Patrol and Georgia Highway Patrol, but no one reported seeing the 30-year-old soldier.

Sheriff's department spokesman Dave Bristow says Dezinno's credit card was last used Friday. Bristow says Dezinno's phone was shut off the same day.

Bristow says there is no evidence indicating foul play or that Dezinno might be in danger.

Dezinno may be driving a 2005 silver Subaru sedan with Kentucky tag 168PHP.
