NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Metro Nashville Police are questioning a man after another man was found dead in a homeless camp.
WSMV-TV reported the incident became known after a man walked into a convenience store near downtown early Tuesday and asked for help. He told police he had been beaten and another man in the camp had been killed.
Police found the body in the woods where some tents had been set up near Civil War site Fort Negley.
Capt. Ken Walburn said the injured man is not the suspect in the death. The man who was injured was taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital and is expected to recover.
Police believe all of those involved in the fight were homeless.
