Former Gallatin coach, MLB player dies at 43

GALLATIN, Tenn. (AP) -- A former Gallatin football coach and major league baseball player who once played for the Kansas City Royals has died.

According to WTVF-TV (http://bit.ly/VjXukH), William "Bubba" Dunn died from an apparent heart attack at this home Saturday night.

The 43-year-old played baseball at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin before being drafted by the Royals in the 15th round in 1993.

After his professional career, he returned to Gallatin where he coached various positions at Gallatin High School and ran a private baseball training business.
