Fourth Meth Lab In One Week In Blount County

Blount County, Tenn. -- Fourth meth lab found in one week.

Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said investigators with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force found another meth lab late Friday afternoon, the fourth one fpr the week.

BCSO deputies and investigators with the FJDTF responded to a possible meth lab behind a residence on Ellejoy Road.

When they arrived, they found the abandoned lab, a “one pot” method, along with several personal items of individuals, in a tent located on open land behind a residence.

The Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force responded to disposes of the items. The investigation is ongoing.

The Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and officers of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Alcoa Police Department, and Maryville Police Department. All members of the FJDTF are members of the Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force.
