COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The third in a series of Rally Point events for veterans is Wednesday in Cookeville, Tenn.
The gathering at Leslie Town Centre is to connect area veterans with services in their communities. More than 35 agencies and organizations are scheduled to participate, offering information on Veterans Administration claim assistance, vocational rehabilitation, education, employment, mental health, housing and business loans.
The event is sponsored by various elected officials, the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and the town center. Previous Rally Points were in Jackson and Knoxville.
The state of Tennessee also has had similar events for veterans.
