JACKSON, Tenn. -- A Jackson man has been convicted of kidnapping, raping and robbing a Lane College student.
A Circuit Court jury Tuesday deliberated about 30 minutes before finding 22-year-old Marquon Green guilty in the February 2011 attack.
Police said he suddenly got into a woman's car at a church parking lot, pulled out a handgun, demanded her purse and forced her to drive to an apartment complex where he raped and robbed her of a cell phone and camera.
Green will be sentenced June 18.
He was convicted in January of a similar case involving another Lane College student.
