MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A judge in Memphis has booted a juror off a case after he said looked up information about it on the Internet.
According to The Commercial Appeal, Criminal Court Judge W. Otis Higgs Jr. admonished the man, but didn't hold him in contempt of court.
Higgs put Yu Dins off the jury Thursday after Dins told other jurors he had looked up information about the attempted murder case they were hearing.
With agreement of prosecutors and defense attorneys, the trial continued with 11 jurors.
Earlier in the week and in another case, Higgs denied a defense motion to dismiss. In that trial, jurors said one on the panel tried to get Internet access, but failed.
