OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- A Mississippi judge has denied bond to a Tennessee man, who is charged in the shooting death of Memphis teenager in a Christmas Day drive-by shooting in Marshall County.
Lafayette County Circuit Judge John Gregory on Monday revoked a $1 million bond set during Rico Fleming's earlier appearance in Marshall County Justice Court. Marshall County authorities say Fleming will be held without bond until his trial.
Fleming was a fugitive for 17 days after the shooting that claimed 16-year-old Derica Patterson. Fleming was arrested at the home of a distant cousin in St. Louis, and he was returned to Marshall County Sheriff's custody last week.
Two other people are charged in the incident.
