Key route into the Smokies closed Monday

Sevier County, Tenn. (WVLT) - Park officials say Tremont Road will be closed from dawn to dusk Monday so officials can install a new septic tank.

During the closure period there will be no access to Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont.

There will also be no access to the West Prong, Lumber Ridge, and Middle Prong trailheads.

The road should be back open Tuesday,
