KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Almost 2,000 illegal prescription drugs are off the streets of Knoxville thanks to a big bust.
The Knoxville Police Department's Repeat Offender Squad ended a two month investigation on Thursday by arresting 32-year-old Motez Stinger near the Big Oak Apartments at 3807 Middlebrook Pike.
Police say they saw Stinger sell drugs to another person.
They then searched his apartment and found Oxycodone, Xanax and more than $16,000 in cash.
Stinger was charged with three counts of Sale of Delivery of Sch II, Possession of Sch II for Resale, and Possession of Sch IV for Resale, all were charged as Violation of the Drug Free School.
