KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT)--Market Square is perhaps the figurehead in what has been a resurgence of people,businesses and money to the downtown Knoxville area in the last few years.

A national survey by the website, Manpower Group, names Knoxville as the top area in the nation for work.
Rhona Rice of the Knoxville Chamber told Local 8 News, "We've heard from companies who while not ready to make large announcements they are looking at bringing people back on line."
In fact 25% of Knoxville employers polled say they'll add jobs in April through June of this year, an 8% increase over 2011.
Rice said, "The ones that have struggled through and survived are really starting to see the benefit and long term outlook."

When most buildings were boarded up, Tomato Head weathered the storm.
Market Square is back and Tomato Head is now has two restaurants and now set to open up a bakery on Middlebrook Pike.
Owner Mahasti Vafaie says times have certainly changed."This will give us an opportunity to move our bakery out of this location".
Manpower says Knoxville area job prospect look the brightest in health care, manufacturing, construction, education and leisure and hospitality.
