Lettuce sold in Tennessee affected by California recall

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- The lettuce in your fridge, might make you sick.

That's if it's part of a recall.

California produce supplier Tanimura and Antle is voluntarily recalling romaine lettuce shipped to 19 states, including Tennessee.

It's over fears of possible e. Coli contamination.

The recall is limited to a single lot of its field fresh wrapped single head romaine available at retail stores starting august second.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with consumption of this product.
