MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A Memphis man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing an 18-year-old woman and wounding two others at a birthday gathering.
The Shelby County district attorney's office says 40-year-old James Williams was convicted Friday of murder in Kawanda Wainwright's death. He was sentenced Saturday to life with the possibility of parole.
