NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Nashville say a toddler was killed when she fell from her father's pickup truck and was run over.
Investigators said the accident occurred after 33-year-old Brad Henn stopped and offered two neighborhood boys a ride home Thursday night. Henn's 21-month-old daughter, London, freed herself from a rear car seat and climbed into the front passenger seat. When the boys opened the passenger door to get in, the girl began to fall out.
Police say Henn reached to grab her and his foot pushed down on the accelerator, causing the truck to lurch forward. London was run over by the rear wheel.
The girl was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
