MTSU sets creativity in education institute

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Middle Tennessee State University has announced plans for a creativity in education institute this summer.

The institute July 15-18 will focus on increasing creativity and collaboration in state schools.

Organizers say participants will hear thought-provoking speakers, get a chance to hone their higher order thinking skills and interact with teachers, principals, students and artists from across the country.

Online registration is now open for teachers, arts specialists, teaching artists, special education and resource teachers, principals and superintendents at .

The Tennessee Arts Commission is a partner with MTSU for the institute.
