NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Metro Nashville Police say a man is accused of killing his brother with a sword several days before calling police.
The department said 33-year-old Charles Masters called 911 late Thursday night, to report there was a dead body in his apartment. Police found the body of 28-year-old Jordan Masters, the head partially severed.
Detectives said the evidence suggests the killing occurred last weekend.
Police said Charles Masters made several unsolicited comments when first responders arrived, saying he had been lying on the floor with his brother's body the for last couple of nights, hoping he would wake up and everything would be fixed.
A sword was found in the apartment. Police charged Charles Masters with criminal homicide on Friday. The cause of the fight wasn't known.
