MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Memphis say a man stabbed his two juvenile sons when they tried to protect their mother from him.
According to The Commercial Appeal, 42-year-old Jimmie Pendleton was charged Sunday night with aggravated assault and domestic assault causing bodily harm.
Police said Pendleton was angry with his sons, but directed his anger toward their mother.
Both boys were taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital with injuries not deemed to be critical. A police affidavit stated the mother was struck in the head.
Pendleton was jailed without bond.
