SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Springfield say a bleeding driver pulled into a market parking lot and asked a customer for a lighter, then drove away and was soon after found dead in a crash.
Police identified the fatality as 31-year-old Brian Castelow and said he had been shot in the head several miles from where the market is located. WKRN-TV reported the customer asked Castelow about blood on his face and Castelow said he had been shot, and then drove off.
Police were alerted a short time later that Castelow's pickup truck had collided with a tractor-trailer truck. The shooting had not been reported to police.
