MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Memphis say a man stole another man's pants and then shot him.
Investigators said the victim was sitting in a car Monday when 22-year-old Darius Bell demanded he take off his pants and hand them over. Police said Bell than shot the man three times, hitting him in the hip, leg and shoulder. The Commercial Appeal reported the victim identified Bell from a photo lineup.
Bell is charged with attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery and using a firearm in commission of a felony.
Police said the victim's pants contained an unemployment card and about $100 in cash.
