KPD: Man spotted with knife following woman on greenway, flees

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police spent Monday night searching for a man who reportedly followed a woman with a knife.

It happened on the Jean Teague Greenway in West Hills. A woman saw the man holding a knife behind his back as he walked behind another woman. When she asked him what he was doing, he ran off.

The Neighborhood Bicycle Unit specializes in greenway patrol, and joined other patrol units in the search, but were unable to find the man.

He's a white male in his twenties, about 5’10” and 175 pounds. He has short brown hair and was wearing a light yellow shirt with khaki shorts.
