Memphis city bus driver dies in crash

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Memphis police say a city bus driver has died in a crash with a cement truck on Interstate 240.

Police said a Memphis Area Transit Authority bus crashed into the cement truck on Tuesday morning.

The bus driver, who has not been identified, was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.

The cement truck overturned, and the driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Traffic was backed up on the interstate Tuesday. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
