Memphis man found dead in burning home

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Memphis fire officials say careless smoking started a fire that killed a man in his home.

After firefighters extinguished a house fire late Thursday morning, they found the body of 57-year-old Dwight D. Seay in the den of his home. The medical examiner will determine the cause of Seay's death.

It had not been determined whether there was a working smoke detector in the house.
