MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The Memphis Police Department says an officer responding to a call of an armed robbery at a McDonald's fast food restaurant shot and killed a suspect.
According to preliminary information provided by the department, officers got a call a little after 4 p.m. Thursday about the robbery by two armed suspects at a McDonald's on Frayser Boulevard. When police arrived, one of the armed suspects was shot by an officer and pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are searching for other suspects believed to be involved in the robbery, including a suspect who fled on foot into a wooded area nearby and a female believed to have been driving a brown Ford Taurus and who drove away when officers arrived.
