DECATURVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The funeral for a district fire chief in Decatur County brought more than 1,000 mourners to pay their respects to the man who pushed other firefighters out of the way of a collapsing roof during a fire.

Kenny Fox was 39 years old when he died Saturday in a blaze west of Parsons. During a ceremony Tuesday in Decaturville, first responders, family and friends filled every pew of the Trinity Assembly of God sanctuary. His flag draped casket was loaded onto a fire truck for the funeral procession to Decaturville Cemetery.

Rick Inman told The Jackson Sun (http://bit.ly/IgEUDa) that Fox pushed his two sons, also volunteer firefighters, out of the way of the collapsing roof.
