Niota Gets Insurance Again

(WVLT) The McMinn County town of Niota, TN. Is back in business again. Fire Chief Harrison Slack tells Local 8 News the City Commission approved new insurance Friday allowing police and firefighters to continue their work. Chief Slack said firefighters did battle one fire last week but the lack of insurance kept one pumper from being used. He said a big fire would have required the pumper but fortunately there wasn’t a big fire. The chief also said “we’re back protecting our citizens.”
