MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) -- Prosecutors plan to charge a man with murder in connection with the shooting death of a well-known equestrian from eastern Long Island.
The Suffolk County district attorney's office says Brett Knight is to be arraigned Friday on the murder charge, as well as aggravated harassment, in First District Court in Central Islip. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
Knight was picked up by U.S. Marshals in Seymour, Tenn. on Tuesday. Authorities say Knight was traveling around the country on a motorcycle. Two handguns were also recovered.
The well-known equestrian, Ross Reisner, was shot inside his home on Sept. 24. His partner, Kevin Murray, was wounded.
According to media reports, Knight, a former American Express executive, is an estranged friend of Reisner.
