KNOXVILLE (WVLT) - Saturday is the 4th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and there's a couple of events going on to help recognize the day.
Blounty County and Oak Ridge are both taking part.
Blount County's event will be from 10am-2pm at the Blount County Justice Center in Maryville.
Oak Ridge's event will also be from 10am-2pm. It's at the Oak Ridge Police Department.
You can get rid of any unwanted medication even pet meds.
However, they do not accept needles, biohazard materials and illegal drugs.
At the last take back day in October, Americans turned in around 377,000 pounds of prescription drugs at more than 5,400 sites.
