National pharmacists group honors UT professor

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- An associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis has been honored by the American Pharmacists Association.

Vivian S. Loveless has won a distinguished achievement award in nuclear pharmacy practice. She was recognized for her leadership in nuclear pharmacy and medicine, along with sustained contributions to the profession as a practitioner, educator and researcher.

According to a news release from the school, the award is in the most comprehensive recognition program in the pharmacy profession.

Loveless is especially known for developing a nuclear pharmacy technician training program.
