New crash evidence results in no true bill

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (AP) -- A Washington County grand jury has declined to indict a driver after later evidence was found in a fatal crash.

Police had charged 20-year-old Seth Green of Bluff City in the death of motorcycle rider Burrell Mitchell of Johnson City, killed in a May 23 crash at a Johnson City intersection.

According to the Johnson City Press, police did not think a red light enforcement camera had captured the crash between the motorcycle and Green's vehicle, but the vendor was ultimately able to recover it.

Prosecutor Tony Clark said the initial information was that a car made a left-hand turn in front of two motorcycles and a motorcyclist was killed. Charges were based on that. No trace of alcohol or drugs were found in Green's system.
