New hangars going up at Livingston airport

LIVINGSTON, Tenn. (AP) -- Livingston, Tenn., Mayor Curtis Hayes says new hangars at Livingston Municipal Airport make it one of the best such facilities in the state for a city its size.

Ten new tee-hangars, for single engines, are being added at the airport on the Cumberland Plateau. According to the Cookeville Herald-Citizen, 10 more are to be added in 2013.

Hayes said there is a waiting list of pilots who want to store their planes at the airport.

A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be May 9.
