CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Chattanooga Police have shot and wounded a man who pointed a gun at officers.
Police obtained a search warrant and went to a house where they suspected gambling was being conducted Thursday night.
Police spokesman Nathan Hartwig said 32-year-old Clifford Billups ran out a back door of the home and aimed a handgun at officers. One officer shot Billups, who was taken to a hospital with a minor wound.
Police said they recovered the gun Billups pointed at them and found as second one on his person.
Police questioned about 20 people who were inside the home. No charges were immediately filed.
