Outreach program helping vets in two counties

TENNESSEE - The Tennessee department of veterans affairs is hosting an outreach event for vets in Grainger and Claiborne Counties.

It runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12 at the American Legion Post #119 at 7812 Rutledge Pike (SR 11W) across from the Brine House.

VA representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information to veterans who need them.

Veterans need to bring copy of their DD-214 and any other service related documents to assist with filing claims for federal benefits.
